A caller made a 911 call at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, reporting that there were three men lingering in masks, acting suspiciously in the area of Radel Street.

Police said that officers spotted the vehicle, and attempted to stop it near the intersection of Freeman Street and Connecticut Avenue. The driver failed to stop, and took police on a short car chase that turned into a foot chase when they fled the vehicle.

Following a foot chase, officers were able to apprehend two of the three suspects, Terrel Luis Hendrick and Kai Lewis, recovering at least one gun in the process. The third was able to temporarily escape.

The police pursuit forced Hall School to enter a lock-in/lock-out, which means the school operates as normal with the exception of allowing anyone to leave or enter the building.  Police noted there were no threats made to the school.

Lewis was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit. Hendrick was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of registration, theft of license plates, reckless driving, endangering police in pursuit, illegal operation of a motor vehicle without proper insurance and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
